Not all bloggers realize that the artists have tumblr blogs because they find the content on the artists real webpage or deviantart and whatnot. but I know what you mean.
Of course, which is why I said we all try our best. I have definitely done the same thing in the past. It’s just sometimes it seems like people put absolutely no effort into finding the most appropriate link-back to the artist, which I spend a lot of time on. I don’t mean to have a holier-than-thou attitude about it, I guess it’s just something I put a lot of effort into with each and every post, so I get a little miffed when people don’t do the same.
Ultimately, it’s just a personal pet peeve/judgment. I’m not really justified in it. u_u
(and thanks for the birthday wishes, guys! I read all your comments but I’m too lazy to respond because I’m terrible)
I'm getting tired of seeing all these art blogs post pieces by artists who already have Tumblr blogs.
I’m not really sure why; I guess it’s just that if I were the artist, I would prefer the credit be linked straight back to my blog so that I at least know if people are appreciating my art. It sort of irritates me when I see something up on illustration radar with a million notes, when it’s already posted on that artist’s own blog with like, two notes.
Yeah, I know, it’s pretty silly. Not sure why it irks me. I know we all try our best and no one intentionally “steals the spotlight” from the artist (or at least I hope not).
On another note, today was my birthday! Best birthday I’ve had in a long time. :)
